About

I’ve lived in Southern California most of my life. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science at Vanguard University of Southern California.

After finishing my degree, I lived four years in Uganda, East Africa, working with Sudanese refugees in a settlement managed by the UNHCR. It was my privilege to teach in local churches and in a pastoral training school for Catholic and Protestant leaders.

Upon returning to the States, I met and married my beautiful wife. Within our first year of marriage, we taught English under a one year contract in South Korea at Korea Nazarene University.

I completed my Master’s Degree in Humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. With the support of Dr. Benjamin Mijuskovic, I completed a thesis on the history of an argument in defense of dualism as it pertains to the philosophies of Roderick M. Chisholm and Richard Swinburne.

One year after completing my M.A. in Humanities, I started teaching Humanities at Citrus College. This afforded me the opportunity to design an Art History site for my students to enjoy.

As a freelance writer, I have written as Christian Literature Examiner for Examiner.com and have contributed to Burnside Writers Collective, Emergent Village VoiceSojourners and theOOZE.com. It has been a true honor to serve as Poetry Editor for Burnside Writers in 2012-2013 and an INSPYs Advisory Board Member in 2011.

I wrote a novel during Nanowrimo 2010 and recently published it under the title Convergence: A Parable. It is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and most major online retailers. Click here for a free download of his first chapter.

In my personal life, I enjoy reading, watching movies and spending time with my family.
