I posted this earlier on Facebook as a prayer and a plea on 9/11.
Today, I pray we foster peace and love in our conversations. We need to remember that humans lost their lives in 9/11 and in the subsequent wars. I pray for the peace of America, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Congo…the peace of all peoples. American lives were lost on 9/11/01, but so have countless other peoples who have suffered in the wake of the American military industrial complex. Let’s not forget any losses. Let’s learn from this episode that reciprocal violence is not the way of Jesus and should not be the way of America.
